 Click the image to see a larger drawing. This drawing illustrates a passage from Peru: Hell and Back an article by Kira Salak on the National Geographic website. The author describes her experiences during several ayahuasca rituals conducted under shamanic guidance in the Peruvian Amazon. All of the text in the image is taken from the article. This is the web edition of a large format painted art zine. It is 30 pages long. It’s dimensions are 12.5 inches by 19 inches. The paper is Rising art print. The materials include india ink, gouache, acrylic, watercolour, and Sakura gelly roll ballpoint pens. It was created between June and September 2009.

Weakened by radiation and the grim news, the boy said to his father, “Before I die I would like to meet Michael Jackson.” His father knew in his heart that being a man of limited means he would never be able to fulfill such a request. When he left the room he collapsed in tears. In blind desperation the father telephoned Neverland and left this message: “My son is dying of terminal cancer and has only a week to live. His greatest wish is to be able to talk to Michael Jackson.” The message was delivered, and the next day Michael telephoned the boy.

I’ve spent six weeks in Auroville, India, an honest to goodness attempt at a utopian community, a “town where men and women of all countries are able to live in peace and progressive harmony above all creeds, all politics and all nationalities. The purpose of Auroville is to realise human unity.” Auroville’s ideals are based on the consciousness evolution ideas of Sri Aurobindo (1872-1950). Aurobindo’s life work is a compelling synthesis of the modern ideas of evolution with Vedantic models of spirituality and existence.

Totem Pill is a flash animation created for an art show called Sequential Desire. Martin Perna aka Ocote Soul Sounds came for to visit in November 2008 while I was living in rural France, and that’s when the idea to put Totem Pill and the Grand Elixir together was born. |

Every night of every week of every year Michael would share his bed with children. He would share his bed with children regardless of race, creed or economic background. He would open his bed to children of all ages. His love knew no bounds.
Michael was born to parents of African American descent. However as he aged through his twenties his features began to change. His cheekbones rose, and nose diminished, his hair straightened, and he began to lose color in his skin.
There was boy in California, in the city of Los Angeles, who lay dying of cancer. The doctors predicted that he would die in the coming week.
